A Quick Dive...
A superb floral varietal with a very special & sought after terpene profile, Rose Fuzz is known for smelling like a bouquet of Roses. Sometimes with on OG flavor on the backend, noted by the breeder as being like a "Dusty Lavender", phenotypes can vary from taller with green, dense colas, to shorter plants that can turn purple with chunky flowers. Finishing times will be 8-9 weeks.
With the thin-neck trait observed via microscope, Whole Plant Fresh Frozen returns should be in the 4-5% range. Rose Fuzz is also known for making amazing rosin!
A delectable cross between Purple Petals and JOMO (Joy of Missing Out), let's dive further into the lineage, and why Rose Fuzz should be your next choice!
Purple Petals: Parent of Rose Fuzz Strain
Purple Petals, bred by Oregon recreational producer Happy Cabbage Farms, is a cross between Purple OG and Fruity Pebble OG. Happy Cabbage Farms is known for being a solventless-first company focusing on hash and hash rosin production for the local markets.
Purple OG, thought to be short for Purple OG Kush, may be a cross of OG Kush and Purple Kush. It may also be another Purple OG, which is a Pakistani Chitral Kush x OG Kush.
I reached out to Happy Cabbage Farms to try and confirm, but unfortunately that information has been lost.
Fruity Pebbles OG, also known as FPOG, was a super limited seed release by Alien Genetics back in 2012. With only 15 packs ever being made, they were rumored to have sold between $1000-$1500 each. With flavors reminiscent of the cereal, Fruity Pebbles OG is (Green Ribbon x GDP) x (Tahoe OG x Alien Kush).
Fun Fact: According to Happy Cabbage Farms, "Purple Petals" used to be named "Purple Pebbles", but had to undergo a name change due to it "supposedly" appealing to children...
JOMO (Joy Of Missing Out): Parent of Rose Fuzz Strain
JOMO, "bred for hash" as described by its breeder Shwale, is the second parent of the Rose Fuzz strain. Filled with savory garlic notes ranging from funky to floral sweet chems, terp profiles have been described as: Dirty Gym Socks, Spirit Molecule, Fabric Softener CHEMS, and Black Garlic. Considered a "dumper" or "washer", she gets consistent WPFF returns in the 6% range, with extra extra large resin glands.
Being the progeny of award-winning strain GMO (Garlic Cookies) and Sugar Shack, it's easy to see why Rose Fuzz and other JOMO crosses, such as JOMO the Hutt, have such high value in the cannabis community.
Rose Fuzz: Rose and OG Flowers of Floral Fire
Obviously, this strain is packed with all the right genetic ingredients to potentially produce some of the finest super floral rose lavender OG hash or hash rosin the world has ever seen. Filled with premium flavorful resin-producing relatives powered by weakneck-focused-breeding, Rose Fuzz was meant for solventless lovers searching for that "Something Special".
If you're the type of person that values having the best among the rest, I encourage you to reward yourself with a pack of Rose Fuzz seeds before the world passes you by.
